Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferred
ability to communicate effectively in English
strong interpersonal and customer service skills
ability to handle cash and operate POS systems
knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
teamwork and collaboration skills
physical ability to transport up to 30 pounds repeatedly during shifts

Job Duties

Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other specialty beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences
operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment safely and efficiently
greet guests warmly and provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service
engage with customers to take orders, answer questions, and offer recommendations
keep the work area, equipment, and customer seating areas clean and organized
follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages
accurately operate the POS system to process payments, handle cash, and issue receipts
balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, if applicable
replenish supplies such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, napkins, and other café essentials
assist with inventory counts and notify management of low stock or supply needs
maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, seasonal offerings, and preparation techniques
stay up to date with promotions and new items
