Job Requirements

  • At least two years of progressively responsible café or barista experience
  • at least one year of food and beverage service experience
  • experience directing the work of others
  • employee management experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license
  • approval as a SCAD-authorized driver
  • less than 10 percent travel required
  • ability to work Monday through Friday and accommodate weekends and evenings
  • ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations

Job Duties

  • Conduct interviews with the general manager
  • train, schedule, and supervise work-study students
  • maintain adequate supply levels
  • perform monthly inventory counts
  • fulfill food and beverage supply orders
  • oversee merchandising
  • ensure the restaurant stays clean, neat, and organized
  • filter communications to each shift team under the guidance of the general manager
  • foster a positive team environment
  • provide support as needed
  • assess the café environment and key business indicators
  • identify issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
  • provide coaching and guidance to the team
  • develop and implement policies and procedures
  • maintain excellent health inspection scores
  • demonstrate fiscal responsibility with awareness of labor and food costs
  • reconcile money and complete orders at the end of each shift
