Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role
- Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and espresso drinks
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferably in a cafe or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso drinks, and basic beverage preparation
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently and work under pressure during peak hours
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Barista certification or coffee preparation training is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages including espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and other hot or cold beverages
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders and answering questions about beverages and menu items
- Ensure all beverages are prepared quickly, accurately, and to the highest quality standards
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, including espresso machines and grinders
- Customize beverages based on guest preferences such as milk alternatives and sweetness levels
- Create a welcoming environment by engaging with guests and making personalized drink recommendations
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests courteously and professionally
- Upsell additional menu items like pastries and special coffee blends
- Address and resolve guest complaints professionally, seeking management assistance when necessary
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Regularly clean and maintain coffee equipment ensuring proper working condition
- Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and cleanliness
- Work closely with other staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Assist in opening and closing the cafe or coffee station
- Help train new baristas by sharing knowledge of coffee preparation and customer service
- Process payments accurately, handling cash and credit transactions
- Provide guests with receipts and maintain balanced cash drawer
- Support colleagues to foster a positive team environment
