Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months coffee-related service industry experience
- Valid TABC Certification
- Valid Food Handler Certification
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week
- Availability for afternoon and early evening shifts
- Availability to work Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Ability to communicate effectively in the workplace language
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to use Excel and Word
- Understanding of Property Management System and Point of Sale technology
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months coffee-related experience in the service industry
- Certificates, licenses, and identification as required by the U.S. Department of Justice for employment eligibility
- Must maintain unexpired TABC Certification and Food Handler Certification
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and sister property staff
- Ability to create documents in Excel and Word
- Ability to understand computer programs such as Property Management System and Point of Sale
- Ability to apply math concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
Job Duties
- Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction
- Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and adhere to dress code policies, wearing the Jo's uniform and closed toe shoes
- Play music for the whole community, including being aware of inappropriate music choices
- Respect fellow employees, customers and the work environment
- Check patrons' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients
- Take orders from patrons for food or beverage and prepare the item to specification
- Gain knowledge of the Point of Sale (POS) system to ensure transaction accuracy
- Restock items using First-in, First-out (FIFO) system
- Check invoices for accuracy upon delivery
- Clean during and after shifts per assigned side-work
- Ensure open communication with management and departments
- Communicate time-off requests and confirm schedules
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area
- Maintain equipment in good, safe working condition
- Increase safety awareness property-wide
- Stay updated on safety, emergency procedures, and OSHA requirements
- Provide excellent customer service to each patron
