Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Related experience in hospitality preferred
  • Ability to understand and comply with safety, sanitary and security procedures
  • Capable of handling cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment
  • Legal eligibility to work in the jurisdiction
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
  • Good organizational and time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or related experience
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred
  • Ability to provide friendly and professional guest service
  • Knowledge of proper ordering, beverage preparation and food handling techniques
  • Competent in processing guest checks and payments including cash handling, credit card transactions and room charges
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Organize and maintain a clean service podium
  • Ensure all tables are properly set before seating guests
  • Ensure all menus are clean
  • Maintain and use seating chart for rotation of stations
  • Greet and seat guests properly and issue menus
  • Answer phones properly and follow all reservation procedures
  • Follow all cash handling, credit card transactions and room charge procedures for guest payments
  • Maintain a consistent professional and positive attitude when communicating with guests, vendors and associates
  • Report any incidents of guest dissatisfaction or other significant matters to manager or supervisor
  • Comply with policies, procedures and practice safe work habits
  • Greet guests and answer all questions about the menu
  • Take accurate and prompt orders
  • Prepare beverages promptly in accordance with prescribed procedures and brand standards
  • Deliver beverages and food to guests in a timely manner
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as requested by management
