Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- must obtain Starbucks Barista Certification within 30 days of employment
- basic cash handling experience
- ability to work flexible hours
- good communication skills
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- ability to stand for long periods
- willingness to participate in training and safety meetings

Job Duties
- Greets customers
- take orders
- mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, considering customer specifications
- may sell food items
- maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages and food items
- arrange coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays and maintain bar/cart area in a neat and sanitary manner
- clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas
- record all sales, collect money, operate cash register and follow all cash-handling procedures including operation of cash/credit card/electronic payment register
- attend allergy and foodborne illness in-service training
- participate in safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments
- attend training programs
- receive inventory and move/lift foodstuffs and supplies
- comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
- follow established City of Hope and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines
- perform other related duties as assigned or requested
