Job Requirements
- Availability to work weekends
- ability to start shifts at 3:30 am or 11:30 am
- full-time commitment
- ability to stand, bend, and twist during shift
- effective verbal communication skills
- ability to follow instructions and maintain brand standards
- ability to learn and retain product knowledge
- some cashier and customer service experience preferred
- must pass applicable background and drug screening checks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- enthusiasm for coffee and willingness to learn about various coffee products and preparation methods
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- experience in food service or retail preferred but not required
- ability to interact positively with customers and team members
- basic math skills
Job Duties
- Greet customers and take food order
- provide information about products and look for opportunity to up-sell products
- prepare all drink orders to brand and HMSHost standards
- operate a cash register and receive payment from customers in cash or credit card, accurately count and provide change as required
- educate and inform customers about coffee beans, preparation, and home brewing methods
- clean and stock customer area
- follow HMSHost and brand operational policies and procedures including safety and security protocols
- maintain calm demeanor during high volume periods to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example for the team
