Job Requirements
- Two years of previous customer service experience
- one year of previous barista experience preferred
- ability to work Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Thursday schedules
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to handle cash and operate POS devices
- authorization to work in the United States
- willingness to adhere to company policies including safety measures
- strong work ethic and positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year of barista experience preferred
- at least 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines
- ability to operate POS systems accurately
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work flexible schedules including full-time and part-time shifts
- friendly and approachable demeanor
- basic math skills for handling transactions
Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
- serves customers quickly and efficiently
- demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them to customers accurately
- advocates selling techniques by assisting in the buying decision process
- ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
- performs other duties as assigned
