Job Requirements

  • Two years of previous customer service experience
  • one year of previous barista experience preferred
  • ability to work Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Thursday schedules
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to handle cash and operate POS devices
  • authorization to work in the United States
  • willingness to adhere to company policies including safety measures
  • strong work ethic and positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of barista experience preferred
  • at least 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines
  • ability to operate POS systems accurately
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work flexible schedules including full-time and part-time shifts
  • friendly and approachable demeanor
  • basic math skills for handling transactions

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
  • serves customers quickly and efficiently
  • demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them to customers accurately
  • advocates selling techniques by assisting in the buying decision process
  • ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
  • performs other duties as assigned
