Job Requirements

  • No prior barista experience required
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work full time Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Must comply with HACCP food safety standards
  • Availability to work at the specified San Jose, California location
  • Must pass background screening if applicable
  • Must maintain a drug-free workplace

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Willingness to learn coffee preparation and food safety standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Friendly and approachable attitude

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • Enters orders accurately into POS device and accepts cash and charge payments
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
