Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of barista or related food service experience preferred
  • availability to work full time Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
  • ability to handle cash and operate POS devices
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to comply with health regulations and company policies

Job Qualifications

  • One year of barista experience preferred
  • previous food service and/or customer service experience a plus
  • ability to operate POS systems
  • knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work full time Monday through Friday
  • strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • friendly and customer-focused attitude

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures according to HACCP standards
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
  • serves customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays in serving lines
  • demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
  • serves as an advocate of selling techniques by assisting in customer buying decisions
  • ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly
  • performs other duties as assigned
