Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • six months' experience in beverage service, preferably as a barista
  • ability to safely prepare and serve coffee beverages
  • knowledge of point-of-sale and credit card systems
  • familiarity with food and beverage sanitation standards
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • willingness to work varying schedules including weekends, holidays, and events
  • ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • pass background check and drug screening
  • obtain Oklahoma food handler card

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • six months' previous experience working in the beverage service industry, with preference to barista experience
  • knowledge, skill, and ability to safely prepare and serve coffee beverages in accordance with internal policies and standards
  • ability to work with point-of-sale systems, dispensing systems, credit card/Player's Club card systems
  • knowledge of food and beverage sanitation
  • knowledge of cash control practices and protocol
  • ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • excellent guest service and communication skills
  • ability to follow procedures and ensure accuracy
  • demonstrate a high level of service delivery and handle service failures
  • ability to adapt behavior to diverse guests and team members

Job Duties

  • Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel and live the mission of always providing exceptional service
  • prepare and serve brewed coffee and mixed coffee drinks like cappuccino and espresso, and kiosk food items according to established recipes and procedures, notifying appropriate team members when assistance is necessary
  • retrieve, prepare and stock coffee kiosk food items
  • ensure kiosk area is maintained in a neat, clean, and sanitary manner using approved cleaning agents, sanitation regulations and department procedures
  • accept cash, credit cards, or complimentary vouchers as payment
  • demonstrate an upbeat and outgoing demeanor while on duty
  • perform other related duties as may be assigned by reporting supervisor, including cross training
  • understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program
  • maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with uniform requirements
  • operate equipment such as espresso machines, steam wands, personal computers, point of sale systems, and telephones
