Job Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • maintain a permanent residence within Utah with valid Utah residential address within 30 days of start date
  • able to lift 30 pounds repetitively
  • able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and perform physical tasks during shifts
  • able to maintain punctuality and regular attendance
  • able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • able to work in a diverse academic and cultural environment
  • able to complete a successful criminal background check

Job Qualifications

  • Six months of coffee shop or food service experience
  • current Utah Food Handler Permit or ability to obtain within 14 days
  • available to work at least four shifts Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to operate POS and mobile ordering systems
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations of What’s Bruin coffee shop
  • provide excellent customer service with a customer comes first attitude
  • take customer orders and process payments using POS registers
  • prepare quality beverages and food products according to recipe standards
  • adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • maintain clean, sanitized, and organized work and storage areas
  • complete opening, closing, and inventory management tasks
