Job Requirements

Must be U.S. citizen, national, or owe allegiance to the U.S.
must have experience in specialty coffee preparation or similar activity
must be able to safely use espresso machine equipment
must be able to memorize specialty coffee drink recipes
must be able to frequently lift up to 40 pounds
must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, push, pull, and bend for long periods
must complete favorable background investigation
must complete favorable pre-employment physical
must obtain Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
must register for Selective Service if male born after December 31, 1959
must be able to pass employment verification (E-Verify)
must provide REAL ID or equivalent for installation access
must be able to satisfactorily complete Tier 1 NACI background check
must comply with qualification and eligibility requirements
no education substitution allowed
must submit complete application package including resume and documents by application deadline

Job Qualifications

Experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to specialty coffee preparation or similar activity
knowledge of variety of drink recipes, coffee beans, and teas at a specialty coffee operation
ability to safely use equipment such as an espresso machine
memorization of specialty coffee drink recipes
ability to hear and follow oral and/or written instructions
ability to work safely and perform simple arithmetic
ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds
ability to continuously stand, walk, stoop, push, pull, and bend for long periods
ability to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
ability to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
ability to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 National Agency Check with inquiries (NACI) background investigation

Job Duties

Prepares specialty beverages in a free-standing specialty coffee operation
operates a commercial grade espresso machine
grinds fresh coffee beans
prepares beverage by adjusting grind and dosing coffee
completes non-alcoholic specialty beverages according to customer requests and recipes
serves mixed non-alcoholic beverages such as iced coffees, fruit drinks, smoothies
serves alcoholic beverages such as beer upon request
prepares and serves assorted food items including sandwiches, cookies, muffins, pastries
operates cash register and handles payments
maintains and cleans coffee machines and equipment
sets up work area and obtains cash bank
maintains cleanliness including tables, dishwasher operation, floors, walls, and garbage cans
assists with inventory and reordering supplies
prepares documentation for cash funds accountability
independently completes work following instructions
opens and closes facility as required
performs other related duties as assigned
