Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- On-the-job training provided
- Able to learn quickly and understand and execute oral and written instructions and requests clarification when needed
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings and/or nights
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
- Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of the University and department
- Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
- Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
- Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe certified
- An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
- Previous experience as a barista in a fast food establishment
Job Duties
- Follow university and store operating policies and procedures
- Provide quality beverages and food products according to standard recipes or customized by request
- Engage with customers and respond to customer needs by delivering legendary customer service
- Anticipate customer and store needs by evaluating environment and customer cues
- Communicate information to manager
- Assist with new employee training
- Follow FIFO methods, health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
