Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of coffee and tea preparation techniques
- Basic math skills for handling cash and tips
- Ability to follow sanitation and safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills
- Physical ability to stand and move for extended periods
Job Duties
- Maintain the register and properly handle cash
- Enter tips, place orders accurately, and keep a balanced drawer
- Work closely with other staff to create a steady flow of service
- Communicate any needs and stay close to the register
- Create all of Bottega Louie’s coffees and teas for the market and cafe
- Abide by Bottega Louie recipe standards, sanitation standards, and maintain speed of service
- Keep a well stocked and organized work station and communicate any needs to utility or a manager
- Keep a clean and well stocked market
- Take out the trash, retrieve products, and restock
- Properly store and rotate macarons
- Assist with filling macaron trays and organizing macaron bins
- Accurately describe all pastries and upsell to guests
- Package all pastries for guests
- Consolidate pastries and stock as needed
