Job Requirements
- must be a high school graduate or equivalent
- ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, speak and hear
- lifting up to 50 lbs for non-clinical staff
- use assisted-lift devices or get assistance for lifting over 50 lbs
- ability to work full-time with open availability including weekdays, evenings, and rotating weekends
- familiarity with cash handling procedures
- ability to operate equipment such as coffee brewers and blenders
Job Qualifications
- must be a high school graduate or equivalent
- knowledge of coffee and specialty beverage preparation
- experience in customer service roles preferred
- ability to operate cash registers and handle transactions
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- ability to maintain cleanliness and stocking of retail areas
Job Duties
- provides quality customer service at all times
- makes specialty beverages and serves customers at The Coffee Shop
- operates beverage machines such as Verismo 701 Automatic Brewer, Bunn Coffee Brewer, Tea Brewer, blenders
- has knowledge of all recipes for beverages to be served
- knows how to make all beverages in a timely and efficient manner
- promotes specials and uses suggestive selling techniques to market and sell coffee shop items
- restocks and maintain par levels of syrups, sauces, and coffee shop items
- restocks utensils, condiments, cups, lids, plates, and other paper goods
- checks out coffee shop customers during hours of operation
- records accurately what patrons are buying in cash register system
- collects correct amount of money for goods sold
- exhibits proper use of cash register according to established procedure
- follows Midland Memorial Hospital cash handling procedures and policies
- responsible for accurately reporting all transactions at the end of the shift
- turns in all cash collected during their shift
