Job Qualifications
- Prior experience as a barista or in a cafe setting is preferred
- strong communication and customer service skills
- basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash
- available to work flexible hours/shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso and specialty drinks, following recipes and customer preferences
- operate coffee machines, grinders and brewing equipment
- provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers, taking orders and handling transactions
- maintain a clean and organized workplace, including counters, equipment and customer seating areas
- stock and replenish coffee supplies, syrups, pastries and other items as needed
- educate customers on different coffee options, brewing methods and menu items
- ensure proper sanitation and safety standards are followed at all times
- assist with opening and closing duties
- handle customer complaints in a professional manner
