Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a barista or in a cafe setting is preferred
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash
  • available to work flexible hours/shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso and specialty drinks, following recipes and customer preferences
  • operate coffee machines, grinders and brewing equipment
  • provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers, taking orders and handling transactions
  • maintain a clean and organized workplace, including counters, equipment and customer seating areas
  • stock and replenish coffee supplies, syrups, pastries and other items as needed
  • educate customers on different coffee options, brewing methods and menu items
  • ensure proper sanitation and safety standards are followed at all times
  • assist with opening and closing duties
  • handle customer complaints in a professional manner
