Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or café environments preferred
- Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn about coffee brewing techniques and menu offerings
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is advantageous
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
- A passion for coffee and the food industry is a plus, along with a willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas
- Engage with customers to take orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Assist in food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Educate customers about menu items and make recommendations based on their preferences
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as necessary
