Must be 21 years of age
able to pass a drug test and pre-employment criminal background check
regular and reliable attendance
able to operate POS computer
able to make change correctly
able to make credit card transactions accurately
able to calmly respond to angry guests and notify a manager
able to check identification and card guests who appear under age 30 for alcohol purchases
neat and well-groomed appearance
must wear company-approved uniform
barista experience required
customer service experience required
high school diploma preferred
hospitality industry experience

Job Duties

Greet guests and present menus and beverage lists
create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees
answer questions about menu items, ingredients, preparation, and make recommendations
take orders for food and beverage items
prepare and serve hot and cold beverages including coffee, tea, espresso, handcrafted cocktails, local beer, and wine
dial in espresso, create latte art, and use various brewing methods
prepare and serve food items such as pastries and appetizers
check identification to ensure legal alcohol consumption
enter orders and modifications into POS system accurately
observe guests to respond to additional needs
maintain table appearance by pre-bussing and removing clutter
prepare and present checks
remove dishes and glasses and handle dishwashing process
collect payments and process credit cards
provide continuous service until guests leave and offer warm farewells
comply with alcohol awareness procedures
communicate problems or unusual matters to management
maintain cooperative working relationships with employees and purveyors
perform duties timely and effectively according to company policies
uphold food quality and production standards
handle multiple tasks effectively
incorporate safe work practices
maintain professional standards in appearance and communication
avoid discussing work issues with guests
support Food & Beverage teams as needed
