Job Requirements

Less than high school or equivalent experience
Six months or less of similar or related work experience
Must be able to physically perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
Must have visual acuity including clarity at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
Must report to work when scheduled and on time
Must adhere to department and company hygiene and dress standards
Employment contingent upon successful pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

Less than high school or equivalent experience
Six months or less of similar or related work experience
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
Ability to do simple addition and subtraction, copying figures, counting and recording
Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
Ability to write identifying information
Ability to request supplies orally or in writing

Job Duties

Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner in all store encounters
Make an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name whenever possible
Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions
Answer telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service including taking customer orders
Take customer orders at the counter
Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat
Review the status and appearance of the food for freshness
Ensure an adequate food supply is ready and follow production lists
Anticipate product needs daily
Prepare and replenish products as necessary
Check in and put away products and review invoices if needed
Run department registers and handle payments as applicable
Remove trash timely
Maintain strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
Report to work when scheduled and on time
Wash dishes as necessary
Order product and supplies as needed
Price products for customers when necessary
Assist in other store areas as needed
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
