Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
one year of food service experience
one year of barista experience
valid King County Food Handler’s Permit
basic computer skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
strong communication skills including listening and adaptability
ability to work independently and collaborate in diverse environments
commitment to professional growth and best practices
reliable attendance and punctuality
ability to perform under stress in a fast-paced environment
flexibility to work non-standard hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent, one year of food service experience, and one year of barista experience
valid King County Food Handler’s Permit
basic proficiency in computer skills including ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
ability to listen patiently and attentively
ability to express self clearly and effectively
ability to adapt communication based on audience and purpose with inclusivity
ability to work independently and as part of a team within diverse teams and environments
ability to employ best practices associated with the position while displaying an ongoing commitment to growth and self-development

ability to remain calm in a stressful, fast-paced environment

ability to work a non-standard/flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Duties

Welcome customers, answer questions, and take orders for beverages and food
accurately ring in orders on POS system and write on cups or bags
prepare foods such as sandwiches or baked items, brewed coffee and tea, espresso-based beverages, and serve items to customers
clean and restock work and dining areas, empty trash, and sanitize equipment and utensils
learn about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality
update signage and displays to attract customers
take inventory and replenish items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter
adhere to all food safety regulations and quality control
provide on-the-job barista training and support for students
perform other duties as assigned
