Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of food service experience
  • one year of barista experience
  • valid King County Food Handler’s Permit
  • basic computer skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • strong communication skills including listening and adaptability
  • ability to work independently and collaborate in diverse environments
  • commitment to professional growth and best practices
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • ability to perform under stress in a fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work non-standard hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent, one year of food service experience, and one year of barista experience
  • valid King County Food Handler’s Permit

Job Duties

  • Welcome customers, answer questions, and take orders for beverages and food
  • accurately ring in orders on POS system and write on cups or bags
  • prepare foods such as sandwiches or baked items, brewed coffee and tea, espresso-based beverages, and serve items to customers
  • clean and restock work and dining areas, empty trash, and sanitize equipment and utensils
  • learn about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality
  • update signage and displays to attract customers
  • take inventory and replenish items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter
  • adhere to all food safety regulations and quality control
  • provide on-the-job barista training and support for students
  • perform other duties as assigned
