Job Requirements
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 30 lbs such as boxes of supplies and bags of coffee beans
- regular bending, reaching, and moving throughout the workspace
- willingness to work shift-based schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- basic math and cash-handling skills
- previous barista or customer-facing experience of at least 2 years
- knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso preparation
Job Duties
- greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections
- provide friendly, accurate, and efficient service at the register and beverage counter
- answer questions about ingredients, dietary options, and promotions
- prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and blended beverages according to recipes and quality standards
- operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment safely
- prepare and serve pastries or light food items as needed
- maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and dining space
- restock supplies include cups, lids, coffee beans, syrups, and condiments
- follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- assist with opening and closing duties
- process orders and payments accurately using POS systems
- handle cash, credit, and mobile payments responsibly
- collaborate with team members to manage busy periods efficiently
- communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and great service
