Job Qualifications

  • barista experience is not required as comprehensive training is provided
  • outgoing and engaging personality
  • exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • ability to communicate through various channels including email, phone, project management software, and conference calls if necessary

Job Duties

  • present a positive image of PJ's customers and coworkers
  • proactively suggest new beverages, drink enhancements, snacks, and pastries to improve overall customer experience and knowledge
  • prepare all beverages and food items to meet PJ's Coffee specifications and ensure customer satisfaction
  • ensure the store offers excellent customer service including staff operation and store upkeep
  • follow cash handling procedures accurately
  • maintain sanitary, safety, and aesthetic standards of the store through daily checklists and inventory management
  • alert management about operational needs, equipment failures, and necessary improvements
  • enforce and abide by company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • attend training sessions to increase coffee knowledge and apply learned skills
