Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to learn and be trained in coffee making and customer service
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- Barista experience is preferred but not required
- Outgoing and engaging personality
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively through various channels including email, phone, and project management software
Job Duties
- Present a positive image of PJ's to customers and coworkers
- Proactively suggest new beverages, drink enhancements, snacks, and pastries to improve the overall customer experience and knowledge
- Prepare all beverages and food to meet PJ's Coffee specifications and customer satisfaction
- Ensure excellent customer service through staff operations and store upkeep
- Follow cash handling procedures accurately
- Maintain interior and exterior store cleanliness, safety, and aesthetics by completing daily shift checklists and monitoring inventory levels
- Alert management to operational needs, equipment failures, and necessary improvements
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Attend training sessions to increase coffee knowledge and work skills and apply that knowledge to operations
