Job Requirements

must be 18 years of age or older
availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one
previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred
knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso drinks, and tea preparation methods
excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and standards
strong attention to detail and cleanliness

Job Duties

prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, following company recipes and standards
ensure high-quality drinks by accurately measuring ingredients, brewing coffee, and preparing tea
greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences
take customer orders accurately and process transactions using the point-of-sale system
operate coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, and other beverage-related machinery efficiently and safely
maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee bar area, including but not limited to, equipment, tools, seating areas, trash receptacles, kitchen, and bathrooms
handle cash and electronic transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change
restock inventory, including coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, as needed
assist with light food preparation and presentation, such as assembling sandwiches and pastries
follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food and beverage preparation meets sanitation standards
engage with customers to promote loyalty programs, special offers, and events happening at Bloom & Pour
collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment
provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
