Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work full-time hours (40 hours per week)
- Availability to work on-site in Key Biscayne, FL
- Basic knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to learn and adhere to food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry background preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications
- Experience with POS systems (Aloha or Micros) is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in beverage preparation
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including equipment and utensils
- Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly
- Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for change
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experience
- Stay knowledgeable about menu items, ingredients, and promotions to effectively upsell products
