Job Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older
If under 18 and not completed high school, must be able to obtain a work permit
Must have a valid and current Orange County, California Food Handler’s Certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-focused mindset
Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a positive, outgoing attitude
Ability to handle guest and team member checks accurately and responsibly

Must have a valid and current Orange County, California Food Handler’s Certification

Ability to handle guest and team member checks accurately and responsibly
Prior barista or hospitality experience in a restaurant, hotel or retail environment is strongly preferred
Prior completion of the California Allergen and California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training is preferred

Job Duties

Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and pastries including coffee, tea and blended beverages
Accurately prepare guest checks, process payments and maintain card handling accuracy and integrity
Operate barista-related equipment including coffee brewers, coffee bean grinders and blenders
Greet guests warmly and promptly, take food and beverage orders and provide a positive and engaging experience
Maintain cleanliness of the barista unit, its countertops, tables, cart and surrounding areas throughout the shift
Stock and replenish food, beverages, disposables, pastries, ready-to-eat items, chemicals, etc
Service guest allergens to ensure accurate orders are served to the correct guest(s) in adherence to the Orange County Environmental Health policies and procedures
Monitor guest consumption to ensure responsible beverage service and adherence to county and state regulations
Complete closing duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, restocking, tip reporting and any checkout procedures
Secure, verify and lock all equipment including fridges, freezers, cabinets, carts, equipment and storage areas
Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and deliver outstanding overall guest service
Follow all California health, safety, sanitation and food handler standards and compliance requirements
Adhere to company policies and procedures in alignment with the Orange County Environmental Health standards
