Job Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- If under 18 and not completed high school, must be able to obtain a work permit
- Must have a valid and current Orange County, California Food Handler’s Certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-focused mindset
- Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a positive, outgoing attitude
- Ability to handle guest and team member checks accurately and responsibly

- Prior barista or hospitality experience in a restaurant, hotel or retail environment is strongly preferred
- Prior completion of the California Allergen and California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training is preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and pastries including coffee, tea and blended beverages
- Accurately prepare guest checks, process payments and maintain card handling accuracy and integrity
- Operate barista-related equipment including coffee brewers, coffee bean grinders and blenders
- Greet guests warmly and promptly, take food and beverage orders and provide a positive and engaging experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the barista unit, its countertops, tables, cart and surrounding areas throughout the shift
- Stock and replenish food, beverages, disposables, pastries, ready-to-eat items, chemicals, etc
- Service guest allergens to ensure accurate orders are served to the correct guest(s) in adherence to the Orange County Environmental Health policies and procedures
- Monitor guest consumption to ensure responsible beverage service and adherence to county and state regulations
- Complete closing duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, restocking, tip reporting and any checkout procedures
- Secure, verify and lock all equipment including fridges, freezers, cabinets, carts, equipment and storage areas
- Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and deliver outstanding overall guest service
- Follow all California health, safety, sanitation and food handler standards and compliance requirements
- Adhere to company policies and procedures in alignment with the Orange County Environmental Health standards
