Job Requirements

  • At least 6 months of on-the-job training or experience directly related to job responsibilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests
  • Basic math and money-handling skills
  • Ability to operate computerized cash register
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts
  • Capability to work under varying environmental conditions including dust, secondhand smoke, and crowd exposure
  • Professional appearance
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Duties

  • Determine guest needs and suggest products to enhance service and meet sales goals
  • Assist customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages, whole bean, pastry and retail purchases
  • Prepare a variety of beverage orders according to established recipes and outlet standards
  • Operate electronic cash register system to accurately and immediately account for payment transactions and transport monies to and from the main credit cage
  • Ensure outlet is setup, maintained and stocked according to established standards
  • Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe and effective manner
  • Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards
