Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Capability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills including clear spoken language and telephone etiquette

  • No prior related work experience required

Job Duties

  • Perform opening and closing tasks such as organizing supplies and equipment, cleaning all equipment and work areas, locking doors
  • Organize, stock and maintain work areas
  • Enter orders into the cash register and obtain customer payments
  • Take orders, enter them into the MICROS system and prepare food and coffee
  • Ensure appliances such as coffee machines are turned on and off at appropriate times
  • Clean tables and coffee cart areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day
  • Obtain necessary change for expected transaction levels
  • Compute cash register at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, deliver receipts and secure the cash register
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information and protect company assets
  • Support coworkers with dignity and respect
  • Help the team achieve common goals
  • Meet quality assurance expectations and standards
  • Move, lift, transport, push, pull and place objects under 25 pounds without assistance
  • Stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods or entire shift
  • Read and visually verify information on various formats
  • Inspect tools, equipment or machinery for defects
  • Handle objects requiring fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination
  • Reach above head and below knees including bending, twisting, dragging and stooping
  • Navigate narrow, confined or elevated spaces
  • Ascend and descend stairs or service ramps
  • Greet and acknowledge guests according to company standards
  • Speak clearly and professionally
  • Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
