Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three months related food service experience
  • Basic communication skills in English
  • Basic computer skills or willingness to learn
  • Ability to read, write and communicate routine information
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Previous barista and cash handling experience preferred

  • Basic communication skills in English for safe, efficient job performance
  • Basic computer skills which may be obtained through on-the-job training
  • Ability to read, write and communicate routine information
  • Ability to work from oral and written instruction
  • Basic math skills such as counting and computing
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • One to three months of related food service experience
  • Previous barista experience, cash handling experience and customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards
  • Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
  • Prepare and serve coffees, teas, specialty beverages per brand standards
  • Prepare and serve food items in line with location standards
  • Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits
  • Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and sanitizing
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work area
  • Stock beverage coolers, grab-and-go items, service ware and condiments
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Assist cafeteria operations
  • Attend in-service meetings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
