Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year barista experience and/or relevant equivalent experience
- Interest in coffee origins, roasts, and brew methods a plus
- Latte art skills a plus
- Strong work ethic

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the role including standing/walking for entirety of shift, bending, pulling, pushing, using stairs, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve consistent, high-quality drinks to meet the company and recipe standards, while delivering exceptional guest service
- Prepare beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
- Perform opening and closing duties as necessary to ensure coffee area is well-maintained and prepared for a smooth shift
- Replenish and restock the coffee area and all supplies as needed
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, safety, and organization of work areas, adhering to sanitation/health regulations and company policy
- Provide positive guest experience including greeting, conversing with, and thanking departing guests
- Interact with guests, take orders, serve food and beverage, handle transactions, and support guest service needs from beginning to end
- Upsell, increase check average, compete in sales incentives, drive marketing promotions & special events, and promote the City Winery brand
- Assess guest needs and preferences, provide recommendations to upsell
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Handle payment transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer
- Adhere to and abide by cash handling procedures as per Company standards
- Maintain a working knowledge of City Winery brand, history, culture, and programming, both in venue and restaurant
- Maintain menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information and communicate this information to guests
- Communicate with management or coworkers on inventory and maintenance issues
- Attend trainings, tastings, meetings, as needed
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines including being ready to work at scheduled shift time, in uniform, with neat and presentable appearance
- Perform basic barback duties to assist bartenders during peak times and assist in some prep work
- Other duties, tasks, projects as per business need
