Job Duties
- Complete opening and closing tasks such as organizing supplies and equipment
- clean all equipment and areas
- secure doors with locks
- organize, stock and maintain work areas
- enter orders into the cash register system and receive payments from guests
- take orders and enter them into the MICROS system
- prepare food and coffee
- ensure appliances like coffee machines are turned on and off at appropriate times
- clean tables and coffee cart areas
- maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day
- obtain necessary change for expected transaction levels
- compute the cash register at the end of the shift
- complete designated cashier reports
- resolve discrepancies
- deliver receipts
- ensure the security of the cash register
- comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
- complete necessary safety training and certifications
- maintain a neat and professional uniform and appearance
- protect company property and maintain information confidentiality
- support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect
- assist the team in achieving common goals
- meet quality assurance expectations and standards
- move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods or the entire shift
- visually inspect information, tools, equipment or machines for defects
- use fine motor skills with good hand-eye coordination to manipulate objects of different sizes and weights
- reach over head and below knees including bending, twisting, dragging and stooping
- move within narrow, confined or elevated spaces
- ascend and descend stairs or service ramps
- greet and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- communicate clearly and professionally with others
- answer phone calls using appropriate etiquette
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
