Job Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- TN ABC cards are required
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Ability to handle money and make correct change
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Must be able to walk, climb stairs
- Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch
- Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push
- Must have good near and far vision
- Must be able to hear, talk, smell
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to 5 hours and a total of 7 hours in an 8 hour shift

- Knowledge of the basic functions of food and beverage operations
- Working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Ability to handle money and make correct change
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions
Job Duties
- Become familiar with all menu items and general hotel information
- Take food and beverage orders from guests and ensure correct and prompt delivery of orders
- Observe guests to respond if additional service is required
- Use the automated point of service (POS) system to process orders
- Clear, clean, reset, and maintain station during shift
- Follow all proper cash, credit card, and room charge procedures
- Follow all proper check control procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Maintain a safe work environment for co-workers and a safe hotel for guests
- Work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations
