Job Requirements

  • Prior barista, retail or food service experience preferred
  • willing to train
  • ability to work Monday through Thursday from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm
  • ability to handle cash and POS transactions accurately
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area
  • ability to follow HACCP food safety guidelines
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • must be able to interact courteously with customers
  • ability to handle physical demands of the role

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in barista, retail, or food service preferred
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to operate POS systems accurately
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work full-time Monday through Thursday
  • willingness to learn and adapt
  • friendly and cooperative team player

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into the POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures according to HACCP standards
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • ensures proper food preparation using approved recipes and production standards
  • keeps display equipment clean during meal service
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • greets customers courteously and addresses concerns
  • serves customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays
  • explains daily menu items accurately
  • advocates selling techniques by assisting customer buying decisions
  • ensures attractive merchandising and neat food presentation
  • performs other duties as assigned
