Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience as a barista or similar role preferred
- ability to work full time with flexible schedule including varying days
- capability to stand for extended periods
- ability to handle cash and process payments
- adherence to company policies including maintaining a drug-free workplace
- eligibility to work legally in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Previous barista experience preferred
- ability to follow HACCP food safety guidelines
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- proficiency in using POS systems
- strong attention to detail with food preparation and presentation
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- customer service oriented with a friendly demeanor
Job Duties
- Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enter orders accurately into POS device
- accept cash and charge payments
- replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes and production standards
- keep display equipment clean and free of debris during service
- clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- greet customers courteously and interact to ensure satisfaction
- relay customer concerns to supervisors
- serve customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and explain to customers
- advocate selling techniques through good communication and assistance in buying decisions
- ensure all display foods are attractively merchandised and served neatly
- perform other duties as assigned
