Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food handler certificate required
- TABC required
- Minimum one year of experience as a cashier with customer service preferred
- Must speak, read, and understand English fluently and clearly
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move approximately 15 pounds
- Ability to carry out safety and emergency procedures
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, and reach daily
- Ability to perform tasks requiring sustained repetitive motion and fine motor skills
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods up to 8 hours
- Ability to sustain direct contact with the public
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food handler certificate
- TABC certification
- Minimum one year of experience as a cashier or in customer service
- Fluent English speaking, reading, and comprehension skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including percentages
- Ability to operate point of sale equipment
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas
- Serve and take orders for baked goods and sandwiches
- Describe menu items to guests and suggest products that might appeal to them
- Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products
- Provide room service for guests
- Maintain cleanliness of the store including counter areas and brewing equipment
- Assist in training new employees and attend training sessions
- Use upselling and suggestive selling techniques to boost sales
- Ensure proper opening, closing, and shift-change procedures are followed
- Alert management to operational needs, equipment failures, and necessary improvements
