- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Understanding of food preparation through on-the-job training or food service course
- Attends barista training sessions for certification and recertification
- Excellent customer service skills

- Ability to work in a self-directed environment
- Ability to read and understand written and oral communications

Job Duties
- Greets all customers by providing quick, friendly and personal service
- Delivers legendary customer service with a customer comes first attitude
- Sells and serves baked goods and food items to customers
- Processes transactions through the POS and follows cash handling procedures
- Maintains high standards for product preparation including specialty drinks and espresso shots
- Maintains espresso equipment to manufacturer and sanitation standards
- Communicates with staff and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
- Assists with new barista training by coaching and reinforcing performance
- Monitors and records temperatures of food items and equipment ensuring safe food handling
- Prepares inventory, requisitions daily supplies and ensures proper labeling and storage
- Follows operational policies to ensure safe food handling and sanitation
- Performs continual sanitation duties to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintains proper production, safety and sanitation standards and complies with HACCP.
