Job Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
- Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
- Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and a passion for the coffee industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and brewed coffee
- Ensure consistent quality in every cup by adhering to established recipes and brewing techniques
- Keep equipment clean and well-maintained to uphold hygiene and safety standards
- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently while addressing specific preferences or dietary requirements
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to enhance the customer experience
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized cash register area
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment
- Assist with cleaning and restocking tasks as needed
- Monitor and maintain the freshness and quality of coffee beans and other ingredients
- Conduct regular checks on equipment and report any issues promptly
- Follow food safety guidelines and adhere to health and safety regulations
