Job Requirements
- ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
- ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
- ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
Job Qualifications
- previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred
- knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and a passion for the coffee industry
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- flexibility to work mornings evenings weekends and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages including espresso cappuccino latte and brewed coffee
- ensure consistent quality in every cup by adhering to established recipes and brewing techniques
- keep equipment clean and well-maintained to uphold hygiene and safety standards
- greet customers warmly and provide a friendly welcoming atmosphere
- take customer orders accurately and efficiently while addressing any specific preferences or dietary requirements
- provide product knowledge and recommendations to enhance the customer experience
- handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- maintain a clean and organized cash register area
- provide customers with receipts and manage change efficiently
- work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment
- assist with cleaning and restocking tasks as needed
- monitor and maintain the freshness and quality of coffee beans and other ingredients
- conduct regular checks on equipment and report any issues promptly
- follow food safety guidelines and adhere to health and safety regulations
