Job Requirements

  • ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
  • ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
  • ability to perform reaching and stooping motions

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred
  • knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and a passion for the coffee industry
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • flexibility to work mornings evenings weekends and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages including espresso cappuccino latte and brewed coffee
  • ensure consistent quality in every cup by adhering to established recipes and brewing techniques
  • keep equipment clean and well-maintained to uphold hygiene and safety standards
  • greet customers warmly and provide a friendly welcoming atmosphere
  • take customer orders accurately and efficiently while addressing any specific preferences or dietary requirements
  • provide product knowledge and recommendations to enhance the customer experience
  • handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
  • maintain a clean and organized cash register area
  • provide customers with receipts and manage change efficiently
  • work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
  • communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment
  • assist with cleaning and restocking tasks as needed
  • monitor and maintain the freshness and quality of coffee beans and other ingredients
  • conduct regular checks on equipment and report any issues promptly
  • follow food safety guidelines and adhere to health and safety regulations
