Job Requirements
- One year of previous barista experience required
- ability to work full time Monday through Friday
- availability for early morning shifts starting at 5:30 am or 6:30 am
- able to handle food safely according to HACCP standards
- ability to provide courteous and efficient customer service
- capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- One year of previous barista experience
- knowledge of coffee and espresso preparation techniques
- ability to operate POS devices accurately
- understanding of HACCP food safety guidelines
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of workstations
- aptitude for learning and following recipes and production standards
Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
- greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- serves customers quickly and efficiently
- demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
- advocates selling techniques to assist in customer buying decisions
- ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively
- serves food neatly and attractively
- performs other duties as assigned
