Job Duties
- Coach and train team member stars and baristas-in-training on barista prepared drinks and standards
- Liaise with management to ensure all barista drinks training is planned and carried out
- Conduct coffee team briefs and attend meetings and courses relating to barista drinks
- Maintain availability and accuracy of hot drinks training material
- Follow Pret's dress code and present immaculately wearing the correct uniform
- Engage positively with customers and team about Pret's coffee story and menu
- Serve drinks to the 60-second standard and communicate delays
- Impress customers with latte art
- Prepare all barista drinks to Pret standards
- Maintain knowledge of Pret's drinks and standards
- Maintain barista equipment and perform daily and weekly checks
- Clean barista counter from a customer's perspective and clean as you go
- Perform log checks, thermometer calibration, and dribble tests
- Manage waste levels of barista ingredients and action stock variances
- Share weekly sales targets with the team
- Monitor barista drinks sales and mix compared to total sales
- Use promotional waste for sampling and recognize regulars
