Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3 to 6 months related experience
Valid Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TN ABC) card
Ability to perform basic math
Ability to handle money and make change
Ability to communicate effectively with staff
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Must be able to walk, climb stairs
Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch
Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push
Must have good near and far vision
Must be able to hear, talk, smell
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for up to 5 hours and a total of 7 hours in an 8 hour shift
Ability to work indoors or outdoors in a moderate noise environment

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TN ABC) cards are required
Knowledge of the basic functions of food and beverage operations
Working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage
Ability to perform basic math skills
Ability to handle money and make correct change
Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions

Job Duties

Become familiar with all menu items and general hotel information
Take food and beverage orders from guests and ensure correct and prompt delivery of orders
Observe guests to respond if additional service is required
Use the automated point of service (POS) system to process orders
Clear, clean, reset, and maintain station during shift
Follow all proper cash, credit card, and room charge procedures
Follow all proper check control procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
The employee may be expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description
Maintain a safe work environment for co-workers and a safe hotel for guests
