Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous barista or customer service experience preferred
  • Responsible Beverage Service training or willingness to obtain
  • Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods
  • Familiarity with coffee brewing equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferred
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Responsible Beverage Service training and Food Handler certification preferred
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Cash handling experience

Job Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times

  • Communicate effectively and engage with guests and team members
  • Accurately and courteously take guest orders, make recommendations, and leverage selling skills
  • Serve as coffee expert providing exceptional knowledge of menu items and preparation methods
  • Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages verifying identification and age requirements
  • Complete and maintain required training such as Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handler Cards
  • Prepare, stock, and serve food items following safety procedures
  • Maintain clean and sanitized bar tables, chairs, stools, and counters
  • Routinely clean and upkeep espresso machines and brewing equipment
  • Adhere to food safety requirements and health department guidelines
  • Process cash and charge transactions according to procedures
  • Close checks and run reports at end of shift
  • Stock side station with necessary coffee, tea, and beverage items
  • Assist Food and Beverage Manager with stocking beverages, mixes, and food items
  • Attend all required brand and coffee promotion training
  • Follow operational policies including cash handling, safety, and security
  • Report missing/found articles or property damage to Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Provide assistance to other team members and departments
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by management
