Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous barista experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible part-time schedule
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to operate cash register or POS system
- Willingness to follow food safety guidelines
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to travel to the Saint Martin's University location
Job Qualifications
- Previous barista experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with food safety and HACCP standards
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems accurately
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Basic math skills for handling cash and payments
Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders using standard recipes
- Enters orders accurately into POS device and processes payments
- Replenishes condiments, beverages and supplies while keeping the service area clean
- Maintains proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Ensures sanitation and cleanliness of equipment and utensils
- Follows approved recipes and production standards for food preparation
- Keeps display equipment clean during meal service
- Cleans workstation thoroughly before shift end
- Greets customers courteously and addresses their concerns
- Serves customers efficiently to prevent delays
- Explains menu items clearly to customers
- Uses selling techniques to assist customers in purchase decisions
- Merchandises display food attractively
- Performs other duties as assigned
