Job Duties
- Complies with healthcare foodservice industry standards, regulations, and guidelines, including proper monitoring and maintenance of food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage
- adheres to procedures that prevent cross-contamination and ensures compliance with personal hygiene standards
- maintains accurate labeling of food products and ensures proper storage of food, equipment, and machinery in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines
- prepares and serves meals in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines, utilizing appropriate kitchen equipment and utensils
- maintains thorough knowledge of recipe ingredients to accurately address food allergy inquiries and special dietary requests
- serves customers in a coffee shop or retail food area
- operates a cash register and handles payments
- assembles, delivers, and retrieves patient trays
- prepares cold food items such as sandwiches and salads
- supports catering services, including food delivery and pick-up
- performs dishwashing and pot washing
- cleans equipment and maintains work areas including sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash
- ensures cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
- stocks food and supply items in retail and service areas
- assists with inventory checks and restocking as needed
