Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler Certifications
- Certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire if not currently certified
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of food handling and safety standards
- Experience in food preparation preferred
- Ability to follow dietary restrictions accurately
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler preferred or obtained within 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Ensures all food handling areas are sanitized and disinfected for the safety of employees, patients, and guests
- Exhibits high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production
- Accurately portions meals and beverages including attention to detail concerning dietary restrictions
- Supports team members in all areas of food services including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage
- Sets up trays for hospital patients following posted menus and individual preferences
- Collects dirty trays and dishes and cleans using an automatic dishwasher
- Returns cleaned dishes to proper storage areas
