Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler Certifications
  • Certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire if not currently certified

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety standards
  • Experience in food preparation preferred
  • Ability to follow dietary restrictions accurately
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification in ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler preferred or obtained within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Ensures all food handling areas are sanitized and disinfected for the safety of employees, patients, and guests
  • Exhibits high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production
  • Accurately portions meals and beverages including attention to detail concerning dietary restrictions
  • Supports team members in all areas of food services including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage
  • Sets up trays for hospital patients following posted menus and individual preferences
  • Collects dirty trays and dishes and cleans using an automatic dishwasher
  • Returns cleaned dishes to proper storage areas
