Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to handle cash and POS transactions
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Effective communication skills

- Ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is advantageous but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a busy environment with varying temperatures
Job Duties
- Take customer orders using Clover POS system, cash, and Venmo
- Prepare and serve drinks and cookies
- Clean customer seating areas, empty trash, and maintain bathroom cleanliness
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Ensure all supplies are organized and stored properly
- Report employee safety, food safety, and quality concerns to Lead Barista or Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Learn about and share knowledge of Switchpoint Coffee Co. with customers
- Assist Lead Barista, manager, and volunteers with other assigned tasks
- Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels of coffee, supplies, and other items, notifying the manager when reordering is needed
- Stay informed about coffee blends, brewing methods, and menu items to make recommendations to customers
- Collaborate with team members and support volunteers as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
