Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to use café equipment such as cappuccino machines, grinders, brewers, blenders, and convection ovens
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Experience in restaurant or food service operations preferred
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations
- Must be able to pass barista training within two months
- Ability to follow safety and cleaning protocols

Job Duties
- Ability to use related equipment such as cappuccino machines, coffee grinders, coffee brewers, blenders, and convection ovens
- Responsible for opening and closing duties
- Demonstrates cash register operation and money handling procedures
- Produces hot and cold food for retail sales
- Stocks food and paper products and sets up for café sales
- Practices food safety codes and standards
- Checks and documents food temperatures and refrigeration units throughout shifts
- Maintains refrigeration units clean and orderly
- Requisitions and transports food and supplies for inventory replenishment
- Inspects food items for quality, rotates stock, and disposes of outdated products
- Wraps, labels, and dates food items properly
- Prepares coffee, juice, and smoothies and cleans beverage machines
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitization of work area, equipment, and customer seating areas
- Maintains daily signage
- Follows cleaning protocols and stores chemicals according to safety rules
- Practices safety procedures and uses protective equipment
- Demonstrates effective customer service skills
- Uses standardized recipes to prepare foods
- Assists in other areas as requested
