Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle food and beverage preparation

Job Qualifications
- Barista experience is acceptable but not required as training is provided
- outgoing and engaging personality
- exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment
- ability to communicate through various channels including email, phone, and project management software if necessary
Job Duties
- Present a positive image of PJ's customers and coworkers
- proactively suggest new beverages, drink enhancements, snacks, and pastries to improve overall customer experience and knowledge
- prepare all beverages and food to meet PJ's Coffee specifications and customer satisfaction
- ensure excellent customer service related to staff operation and store upkeep
- follow cash handling procedures accurately
- maintain sanitary, safety, and aesthetic standards by completing daily shift checklists and managing inventory levels
- alert management to operational needs, equipment failure, and necessary improvements
- enforce and abide by company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- attend training sessions to increase coffee knowledge and work skills
