Job Requirements

  • Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
  • Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly and approachable personality
  • Ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a host or hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and a welcoming demeanor
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon their arrival
  • Maintain an organized reservation system including phone and online reservations
  • Manage the seating process balancing guest preferences, table availability, and server assignments
  • Effectively manage waitlists during peak hours, provide estimated wait times and options for waiting
  • Provide guests with information about menus, daily specials, and promotions
  • Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding table availability and guest requests
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
  • Bid guests farewell and collect feedback, addressing any immediate concerns
